Fall Hiking Engagement
Avneet & Karan
Backcountry Camping Engagement in Alberta
This backcountry camping engagement in Alberta was such an amazing fall adventure in the Canadian Rocky Mountains!
Avneet and Karan first got in contact with us after getting engaged. They had a beautiful idea to go on a hiking adventure with their pup Zoe to celebrate. Being lovers of the outdoors and camping a lot throughout the summers, they decided to find a location in Kananaskis where they could camp overnight and enjoy a night under the stars.
Fall in the Canadian Rocky Mountains
Weather in the mountains is always a guessing game, especially in the fall. This past year we were so lucky to experience one of the mildest and longest fall seasons in many years. Usually, the first snowfall comes early in September and the wild weather makes for a short season for changing colours. This year, however, the larch trees stayed burning and bright for a long time. Avneet and Karan wanted to take advantage of this beautiful fleeting time of year and we put out a few options of camping locations where we knew the fall colours would be all around us.
After a few calls, they decided on this quiet hidden location in the backcountry that we had stumbled upon earlier this summer. This location is so unique and we were able to set up our tent in a beautiful clearing surrounded by so much beauty. The hike in was so stunning with mountain towering above us while exploring waterfalls and lakes. Their mini husky Zoe was such a fun addition and her big happy grin expressed how we were all feeling to be out and enjoying this amazing place.

Planning a Backcountry Camping Engagement Shoot
Hiking and camping are some of our favourite ways to enjoy the mountains together. There is nothing more freeing than packing your tent and disconnecting from the fast-paced world in which we live. You can be fully present in each others company and soak in the simple moments that matter. Wandering through alpine meadows, hiking up ridges, making dinner by the fire and telling stories of moments past and exciting things to come. These are the memories that you want to remember forever. We love helping our couples plan adventures like this and being able to make these moments last a lifetime through photos.
