This Banff engagement photography session was such a beautiful morning in the mountains. We met Roop and Randeep at Two Jack Lake, one of our favourite spots in Banff National Park to watch the sun rise. At dawn, this small shallow lake is usually calm. This creates a beautiful reflection of Mount Rundle, which is centered almost too perfectly in the background. On a clear day the sunrise paints the mountain pink and we were lucky that on this morning, all of these elements aligned. When Roop showed up in her stunning pink dress it was as through it was made to be put in this scene.

Their Story

Roop and Randeep are from Ontario and were traveling out to Edmonton for a friends wedding. Newly engaged, they throught it would be a perfect opportunity to get some epic engagement photos in the mountains. They got in contact with us and we were so excited to help them plan out the shoot. Sunrise is definitely our favourite time to take photos in the mountains. Especially at lakes where you can get reflections of surrounding peaks. Everything is calm, quiet and much less crowded which is definitely a factor when your in Banff. Sometimes it takes some convincing to get our couples on board but Roop and Randeep were down for the early alarm!

Banff Engagement Locations

After hopping around the rocks at Two Jack we made our way around the corner to Lake Minnewanka. In the summer this is a popular tourist spot for picnickers, hikers and sightseers. At this time of day we had the whole place to ourselves. We explored around the shore as we watched the early morning light beams stream through the mountains. Then we headed to a mossy floored forest where Roop changed into a emerald green silk dress that was again made for the scene. We had so much fun sharing this beautiful morning in Banff with these two. Hope you enjoy looking through some of the memories we captured at these beautiful places.
