For all of our Banff Engagement Session inquiries, we send out a list of all our favourite locations around the area. The area surrounding Banff National Park is so diverse and we love customising our shoots to reflect each couple we photograph. Between the incredible mountains, endless hiking trails and beautiful forests there is so much to choose from. Marielle and Adrian were visiting Alberta for the very first time and wanted to take this as an opportunity to see some of the amazing lakes around the area. They decided that Bow Lake and Moraine Lake were the perfect locations for them.

Their Story

Originally from the Philippines, when Marielle and Adrian first moved to Canada they settled in Halifax. More recently they have embarked on a new journey together and have been living in a remote community in Nunavut. They wanted to plan a destination wedding for all of their family and friends to enjoy and decided on Banff National Park! We decided on a sunset session for their engagement photos and had such a beautiful evening. We talked about polar bears, getting around on Ski-Doo’s and the wildy different way of life in the Arctic. We hopped along the shores of Bow Lake finding little reflections in the shallow waters. They didn’t complain once about the cold wind coming off the lake. We then made the beautiful drive through the mountains to Lake Louise where we ended the night at Moraine Lake.

We had so much fun exploring the area with Marielle and Adrian for their banff engagement session. We cant wait to hang out with them again next year for their wedding!
