Moraine Lake Sunset Engagement

These Moraine Lake Sunset Engagement Photos were some of the most beautiful memories! Moraine Lake is one of the more popular locations in Banff National Park. With its popularity rising over the past couple of years it has been almost impossible to access. This year, however, has been a slightly different story. While the pandemic has turned the world upside-down, it has encouraged everyone to explore locally and with that has made these beautiful locations more accessible to locals.

Their Story

Kalyna and Cory actually got engaged the weekend before this shoot! Cory is a Captain in the Canadian Forces and was off for a training course the following week. They wanted to create these memories before he had to take off and their lives got busy. They are both originally from Ontario so wanted to capture the beauty of the mountains which they have grown to love so much. They brought along their pup Kora for their sunset adventure in the mountains.

We were lucky to get the most beautiful weather! When we arrived we took a walk along the lakeshore. They started the shoot wearing traditional Ukrainian shirts as a tribute to Kalyna’s heritage. They then changed into more formal wear and we explored around the rockpile, hiking around the rocks and finding some incredible views!
