Intimate Winter Wedding at Lake Louise

This Intimate Winter Wedding at Lake Louise was an absolute dream day! It’s so rare to get beautiful days like this at the beginning of March in the Canadian Rockies but on Kelsey and Mark’s day, it was a warm plus 8! Days like this allow you to enjoy all that winter has to offer and what a place to do so at the Chateau Lake Louise. Surrounded by mountains, the Chateau is a true winter wonderland complete with an outdoor skating rink, cross country ski trails and even horse-drawn sleigh adventures.

A Ballroom Ceremony and Intimate First Dance

Due to Covid restrictions and uncertainties surrounding gatherings, Kelsey and Mark decided to move their wedding day up by months to celebrate more intimately with their close family and friends by their sides. In front of the beautiful stone fireplace in the grand Victoria Ballroom they were married by one of their good friends. It was perfect. Afterwards, we explored around the beautiful interiors of the Chateau for some fun portraits. Stopping back at the ballroom to share their first dance in the now empty grand space.

Dramatic Mountain Views for Some Wild Winter Portraits

As the sun started to duck behind the mountain peaks, we put on our winter boots and went on a snowy adventure out onto the frozen lake. Kelsey’s winter bridal style was on point with her beautiful gown just showing her boots as she walked through the snow. In the last moments of the warm afternoon sun we took the most beautiful portraits. The snow capped peaks and glaciers towering above us as we explored the landscape.
