Intimate Winter Wedding at Lake Louise
This intimate winter wedding at Lake Louise was a stunning day in the mountains! It doesn’t get much better than this for a March wedding in Canada. There was fresh snow on the ground and temperatures in the positives and sun shining over the mountain tops.
When Kelsey and Mark first got in contact with us they had decided to push their original wedding date up by months. The pandemic was making it increasingly difficult to bring their original wedding plans to light so they decided to plan an intimate day at the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise! We had originally planned to be in Australia during this time but again those plans had changed so we were thrilled to have the time to be a part of it all!
Winter Style at the Fairmont Chateau
Kelsey and Mark planned the most beautifully simple yet elegant day at the Chateau. Kelsey’s bridal details complimented the winter landscape effortlessly with her long-sleeved dress by Anais Anette and earrings by A. B. Ellie. She wore velvet blue heels which matched the famous blue carpet in the Victoria Ballroom where they had their intimate ceremony with a small group of their loved ones. They asked one of their good friends to guide them through their official ceremony and it was filled with laughter as the winter sun streamed in through the arched windows.
A First Dance in an Empty Ballroom and Winter Portraits on a Frozen Lake
After their ceremony, Kelsey and Mark shared their first dance inside the ballroom. It was so romantic and intimate in the vast space with the mountains surrounding them. Afterwards, we all changed into our winter boots and headed out onto the lake for portraits as the sunset. The light was so beautiful as it ducked behind the mountains. The warm temperatures allowed us to explore the winter landscape comfortably creating images of this iconic place. The glaciers towering above them beyond the lake’s end.
We had such an amazing time with these two and hope you enjoy the photos from this warm winter’s day!
