This Calgary Fairmont Palliser Wedding was so elegant and beautiful. We had such an amazing day photographing these two in this amazing urban setting! When we first met with Daniela and Alessandro to chat about their wedding their main task was bringing their big Italian and Columbian families together. We knew this day was going to be a fun party! Daniella and Alessandro both fell in love with the Fairmont Palisser as a venue and it’s easy to see why. Located right in the heart of the city, its elegance makes you feel like you’re in a 1920s movie as soon as you walk through the front entrance. Beautiful chandeliers hang from the ceilings and the grand staircase provided the perfect place to show off Daniela’s incredible dress and cathedral veil.

Their Story

Daniela began the day getting ready surrounded by her closest girls and family. Being able to share these little excited moments in the morning is one of our favourite parts of the day. It was a rainy morning in Calgary but these two couldn’t have had better luck. It poured right through their ceremony at Ascension Parish and just began to pass as we headed out for their portraits. We took our time exploring two of our favourite spots in the city and found a beautiful view of the city at Nose Hill Park. These two were so easy to photograph and their love for one another is transparent in the photos. After some more portraits at confederation park with the whole bridal party, we made our way to the reception. The Fairmont Palliser put on such an amazing cocktail hour which flowed seamlessly into the festivities of the evening. Thoughtful speeches and a delicious meal kept all the guests entertained before the dance floor erupted later in the night. We hope you enjoy a look into this beautiful wedding.
