Buffalo Mountain Lodge Wedding
Being the photographers at a Buffalo Mountain Lodge Wedding in Banff is always an amazing experience! This venue is perched up on Tunnel Mountain, surrounded by forest, wildlife and incredible views. Chelsea and Kris planned such a beautiful day surrounded by all their loved ones. The day began with low clouds masking the mountains. As everyone got ready in their cabins, we watched as the clouds lifted, revealing the amazing scenery around us. In our opinion, these are the best kind of mornings in the mountains!
Tunnel Mountain Reservoir
Buffalo Mountain Lodge is located right across the road from Tunnel Mountain Reservoir. One of our favourite ceremony locations in Banff National Park. A large, accessable flat grass clearing on top of a mountain is rare to find and it creates the perfect place to get married. Rundle Mountain towers in front of you creating the most incredible backdrop. If you are going to get married in the mountains, theres no better place to do it!
Their Story
We first met Chelsea, Kris and their pup Winnie for their hiking engagement session in Kananaskis last September. They drove from Edmonton in a blizzard and we greated them at the trailhead at sunrise with a surprise fresh foot of snow. In true adventurous spirit, they wanted to hike up in the snow and we ended up getting the most incredible photos from the ridge. The love these two have for each other and the mountains was the focus of their wedding day. It was highlighted in every little detail of the day. We feel so lucky to have gotten to know these two and create all of the memories of their wedding at Buffalo Mountain Lodge. We hope you enjoy a look into their day.
