Alberta Adventure Elopement

This Alberta adventure elopement is what dreams are made of! We worked together with this beautiful couple to plan out a day that truly reflected the world they have created together. Just them, their pup Maddie, and a day filled with adventure and mountain top views.

Shooting Stars and a Stunning Sunrise

We started the day at 2am at a trailhead down a dirt road deep in the mountains. The sky was burning with infinite stars showering the sky. Their wedding day landed on the Perseid meteor shower event and as we hiked we watched the stars shoot through the sky. It was truly magical. It wasn’t until Natasha put on her incredible Galia Lahav gown that I realised how serendipitous this day would be. Her stunning dress sparkled with the pattern of thousands of stars just like we had witnessed on our journey to the ridgeline.

These two shared their first look at dawn, looking across the vast Rocky Mountain Landscape with their pup by their side. A chilly breeze whipped through the mountains as we ran along the ridge making the most of this amazing light. It was easy to see that these two feel at home in the mountains. They soaked in all the elements that the morning brought and embraced all that nature gave us.

Private Vows and Coffee Chats

After exploring a little we found a flat spot sheltered from the wind where N and J shared private vows. The sun streamed in beams behind them and we welcomed the warmth it brought. We then sat together and shared a hot coffee while soaking in the view and chatted about life, dreams and the future. It wasn’t long before it was time to hike down for their official ceremony.

A Sunny Summer Ceremony

We met Klaus down by the lake ready for their legal ceremony. Natasha wore a second gown that was a tribute to her mother and reminded her of what she wore on her own wedding day. A simple silk gown that was made for a sunny summers day. After a long morning, we celebrated with champagne (Maddie with a cold swim), toasting to an amazing life of adventure. We feel so incredibly lucky that we were the ones to tell this story and we hope you enjoy looking through some moments from the day.
